Black Tie Tails LLC (“Black Tie Tails,” “we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website (the “Site”) and in the course of providing our canine chaperone and dog walking services (the “Services”), how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly: when you fill out a contact or booking form, or communicate with us by email or phone, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, mailing or event address, information about your dog (name, breed, age, medical or behavioral notes), and, for walking and drop-in clients, home access instructions.

Payment information: if you pay for Services online, payment is processed by a third-party payment processor; we do not store your full payment card details.

Automatically collected information: like most websites, our Site (hosted on Squarespace) may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, through cookies and similar technologies, including Squarespace Analytics and, if enabled, Google Analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: respond to inquiries and process bookings; communicate with you about scheduling, your dog’s care, and invoicing; improve our Site and Services; and, with your consent, use photos or video of your dog for marketing purposes (see our Pet Photo & Media Release).

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with: service providers who help us operate our business (e.g., payment processors, scheduling or email tools); our liability insurance provider, if needed to process a claim; and others as required by law.

4. Cookies

Our Site may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the Site and to understand how visitors use it. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

5. Data Retention

We retain client and booking information for as long as needed to provide Services, comply with legal and tax obligations, and maintain business records, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

6. Your Choices

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at info@blacktietails.com. You may also limit or withdraw permission for photo/video use for marketing at any time, as described in our Pet Photo & Media Release.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our Site and Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
