Terms of Service

1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the services offered by Black Tie Tails LLC (“Black Tie Tails,” “we,” “us,” “our”), including our Wedding & Event Canine Chaperone service and Weekday Dog Walking service (collectively, the “Services”), and your use of our website (the “Site”). By booking Services or using the Site, you agree to these Terms.

2. Our Services

Wedding & Event Canine Chaperone: professional handling and supervision of your dog(s) at weddings, photo sessions, and other events, from arrival through departure as agreed in your booking.

Weekday Dog Walking: scheduled walks and drop-in visits for your dog(s) during the week, as agreed in your booking.

The exact scope, timing, and location of Services will be confirmed with each Client in advance.

3. Booking and Payment

A booking is confirmed once Client signs a Service Agreement with Black Tie Tails setting out the scope, date(s), and price, and any required deposit is received. Deposits, due dates, accepted payment methods, and late or returned-payment fees are set out in the Service Agreement for each service.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Cancellation, rescheduling, and refund terms for each service are set out in your signed Service Agreement. Black Tie Tails will make every reasonable effort to accommodate rescheduling requests due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, severe weather).

5. Client Responsibilities

Client agrees to provide accurate, complete, and current information about the dog’s health, vaccination status, temperament, and any behavioral concerns, and to meet the responsibilities listed in their Service Agreement and Liability Waiver.

6. Our Responsibilities

Black Tie Tails will provide Services with reasonable care and in a professional manner consistent with industry standards. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue Services, before or during an engagement, if we reasonably believe a dog poses a safety risk to itself, our staff, or others.

7. Liability

Use of our Services is subject to our separate Liability Waiver, Release of Claims, and Assumption of Risk Agreement, which every Client must sign prior to Services. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Black Tie Tails’ liability arising from the Services is limited as set forth in that Agreement.

8. Photo/Video and Marketing

Use of photos and video of your dog for marketing is governed by our separate Pet Photo & Media Release. We only use images in the ways you approve on that Release, and you can change your choices at any time.

9. Force Majeure

Black Tie Tails is not liable for delays or failure to perform Services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, venue closures, accidents, or other emergencies. In such cases, we will work with Client in good faith as described in the Service Agreement.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on our Site with a revised effective date. Continued use of our Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
